He’s A very nice, normal, polite, happy kid who rides his bike around our neighborhood with his friends. He looks out for his little sisters.
He looks out for the neighborhood dogs, too. Like when our black lab hopped over our fence and went nosing around the neighborhood. This great kid found her and brought her to our door. He's smart, but no genius. Who is? Anyway, I'm like. in our street, talking to this fifth grader. Cody is a very friendly kid. Suddenly, I hear a ringtone. It's Cody's cellphone. He's in the fifth grade for pete's sake. After he got off the phone, I asked, just to tease him, half in jest, "Do you have your own website too, Cody?" He said he did. You could have knocked me for a loop. Here was a kid in the fifth grade and he already had his own website. I was blown away. Then he said, and this is the frosting on the cake, "I made $20 off it last week." "I sold some pictures of cars." This was too much. I slaved away in the darkest dungeions of the computer industry for 20 years, and I never made a dime on an internet site and here is this kid in the fifth grade making money the first time he tries it. He doesn’t know anything about HTML, perl, GDI, FTP, Javascript, Frontpage, Dreamweaver, Etc. All that technical geeky stuff... And he makes $20 the first week his website is up. I know, $20 is peanuts to you, but to a 10 year old kid, it’s a lot of money. It turns out his Dad is into racing cars and they go to a track every weekend in the summer and race their cars and Cody has all these picture of race cars and he is selling them on the internet from his own website. Unreal! He completely ignores e-bay! It costs him $10/month for the site, but he splits the cost with a friend. They just fill in a few forms and their website is up and running. I learned, later, that this is not the best way to build a website that will build equity, but Cody got me started on an interesting adventure. No programming required. Anyone can do it.
So, not to be outdone by a mere child, I set out to find me a dude who could do a website for me. I typed “website builder” into Google and got over 100,000,000 hits. So I typed in, “Make money on the internet”; 390,000,000 hits on Google. This was going the wrong way. I tried “how to get rich on the internet” and got 172,000,000 hits. Here is one: I know someone is not going to give away a system that makes $100,000/month for $49.00. Nope. She would keep it to herself and quietly stuff the cash under her mattress. But I couldn’t resist and against my better judgment, I shelled out $39.95. It claimed I would make money in 15 minutes. I didn’t like what I got. Seems I would have to place banner ads in websites. I read that they just don’t work. Surfers ignore them. So I didn’t do it and I was out $39.95. Easy come, easy go. Lo and behold, the anti-scam sites were recommending scams. What a mess. I almost gave up at this point. Then, I noticed, on one site, a free book offer.
And do you know what? It was free e-book. So I downloaded it and devoured it in a couple of hours.
It enabled me to create this website with hardly any technical knowledge. In fact, if you are reading this, you have the know-how to create your own Web site. Some people I know have their own Web site and all they knew about before was how to send e-mails. How about something for free? Really! This is a great book that explains how the Internet works to provide income for those folks that need a little extra moola. You know how to download, don't you? You just put your lips together and blow...Whoops! Wrong script. I thought I was Lauren Bacall there for a minute. She's one classy lady, though. Doncha think? Huh! Huh!

This is not a get rich quick scheme. You find them all over the internet, but there are so many, how can you ever hope to find one that works, one that has value. There are thousands of them. It's scam city. The internet is a cesspool of scammers and spammmers.
Or maybe you already have enough money. Then you may want to create a hobby website. Do you collect anything? Like coins, stamps, dolls, beer cans, etc. What are you really passionate about? Maybe cats or dogs or horses, even pot-bellied pigs, perhaps. Put your passion on the web! What do you love? What dreams comsume you? As Earl Nightingale said in the Strangest Secret, "You become what you think about".
He's just a kid
Remember that saying that goes something like, Most people have the mistaken belief that you need to be a computer geek to create your own Web site. It's just not true anymore. There are now hundreds of free Web sites that allow you to create one yourself. Technology makes it possible for someone with no technical knowlege to create a Web site. You get my drift, don't you?
